Privacy policy

Effective 5 November 2026

FeedSnap is built so that we never see your data. There is no account, no analytics, no advertising and no tracking. Your food logs and training stay on your iPhone, with an optional backup in your own iCloud.

Who we are

FeedSnap (“we”, “us”) makes the FeedSnap iPhone app and this website. If you have a question about this policy or your data, email hello@feedsnap.me.

What we collect

Nothing. FeedSnap doesn’t send your data to us or to anyone else, and we have no servers that store it. The app contains no analytics, advertising or tracking code. The sections below explain what the app keeps on your iPhone and in your iCloud account, where only you can reach it.

Apple Health

With your permission, FeedSnap reads workouts, heart rate, active energy and body mass from Apple Health, so your carbohydrate, protein and energy targets follow the training you actually did. FeedSnap only reads from Apple Health. It never writes to it.

Food logs, photos and labels

When you log a meal or scan a nutrition label, FeedSnap keeps the photo, the foods it found, the nutrition values and the time you ate. These stay on your iPhone. Photos are kept for 12 months, unless an entry or product you’ve used in that time still needs them, and are then deleted automatically.

FeedSnap asks for camera access to take photos, and photo library access only when you choose a photo from your library.

How photos are analysed

Meal photos and labels are analysed with Apple Intelligence, either on your iPhone or with Apple’s Private Cloud Compute. Private Cloud Compute is run by Apple and is designed so that your data is used only for your request, is not stored, and is not accessible to Apple or to us. FeedSnap doesn’t use any other AI service. Read more about Private Cloud Compute.

iCloud backup

If you’re signed in to iCloud, FeedSnap backs up your food logs, photos, saved products and the profile details you enter (such as body mass) to your private iCloud database. That database belongs to your Apple Account; we can’t read it. Data read from Apple Health is never backed up to iCloud. To turn the backup off, go to Settings, then your name, then iCloud, and switch off FeedSnap.

Deleting your data

In the app, go to Me, then Delete all data. This permanently removes your meals, photos, products and profile from your iPhone and from iCloud. Your workouts in Apple Health are not affected. Deleting the app removes everything stored on the iPhone.

Purchases

This version of FeedSnap is free and has no in-app purchases. If we add subscriptions later, they will be handled by Apple, and we will update this policy before they’re offered.

This website

feedsnap.me has no cookies, analytics or sign-up forms. It is hosted by Cloudflare, which processes standard request information, such as your IP address, to deliver and protect the site. We don’t receive or keep those logs.

Children

FeedSnap is not directed at children under 13, and we don’t knowingly collect data from anyone.

Your rights

Because your data stays on your devices and in your own iCloud, you’re always in control of it: you can see it in the app and delete it at any time. If you’re in the UK or EU, you also have rights under data protection law. Contact us at hello@feedsnap.me with any request, and you can complain to your local data protection authority, which in the UK is the Information Commissioner’s Office.

Changes

If this policy changes, we’ll update it here and change the date at the top. If a change affects how your data is handled, we’ll also say so in the app.
